The humdrum of indoor training can get quite boring – but not this year!
Runners, triathletes and cyclists have several great classes to choose from.
East Side and West Side coaches are offering a variety of training sessions to keep you strong, motivated and inspired throughout the cold and dreary winter months.
Jamie Liles – Grunt Girl
Strength and Conditioning Coach, University of Akron
Train Movements, Not Muscles, Akron campus – Exact location TBD
Liles practices what she preaches. Join her one or two times a week, Wednesdays and Saturdays, on the Akron campus. Liles’ workouts will increase muscular endurance, improve muscular balance and joint stability, increase running efficiency and decrease risk of injury. Monthly and individual packages provide periodized strength training programs, one-on-one/group instruction and education on technique, exercise selection and mobility/flexibility.
Package 1: Four sessions per month – $50
Package 2: Eight sessions per month – $100
Package 3: Individual sessions – $25/session

Amanda Kephart

Adult Sports Performance Classes – 4300 Allen Rd., Stow
Kephart’s ASPC are 60 minutes long and include 20 minutes of active-dynamic warm-up and 40 minutes of strength and conditioning. At Akron General, Kephart has access to equipment that will help her analyze your running technique. Using a video analysis, she can pinpoint what is limiting your ability to run more quickly and strongly and faster. Classes are offered throughout the week. Kephart will open a GG-only class if four or more girls commit.
Special pricing for GGR: 12 sessions for $179 or eight sessions for $159. Monthly unlimited program: $99/month, start/stop anytime.
