Group Training

GGR offers running, on- and off-road, cycling, on- and off-road and brick training on the east and west sides of town.

Be sure to scroll through the entire list.

Members and non-members are welcome. We are here to support and encourage women of all abilities and ages.  The best way to get started with running, cycling, triathlon or any other sport, and stay motivated is to train with others.

We encourage you to bring a friend, ask questions, and if you want-  invite your husband, boyfriend, significant other.

Please RSVP for all training sessions – via phone or text (contacts below)

We run in all weather conditions, including the snow. We do not run while it is thundering and lightening, unless we are in the middle of a run, then we hightail to safety until the storm clears.
We do not ride in the rain.

|TRAIL RUNS  – EASTSIDE

Team Captains: Lee and Stacy

Lee: If there are no runs posted for the weekend and you want to run, contact Lee directly at 216 262-2439.  If Lee is in town and not racing she is probably running somewhere.  If you are looking for running partners to make sure you don’t wind up running alone, please post on the Grunt Girl Racing face book page.  Also, additional individual runs are often posted on the GGR face book page and everyone is friendly so message anyone who posts something that interests you if you are looking for more training.

For all Trail runs:  Look up the location yourself, bring your own water and snacks or gels.  Remember, if you did not RSVP, there’s a chance we will leave the trail head or parking lot before you arrive, especially if you are running late.  Please arrive at all runs 10-15 minutes early, sometimes other runners will be mid-run when you start and cannot stand around waiting for long and cooling off.

Stacy: I will lead shorter and moderately paced runs, most Sundays. I work Saturday. Sometimes I will start with Lee, and other times I will pick a random location, just depends on my mood (really my training schedule). Either way, I will post a run on FB and on the blog. If you don’t see a run posted by me, shoot me an e-mail and I will let you know where to meet the group and what time. If I am racing, I will ask another GG to lead the run.

  1. May I meet up with you to run this? I need motivation to run, and the Grunt Girls just may be what I am looking for!
    Thanks,
    Belinda

  2. I am interested in training with and becoming a “grunt girl.” I would like to start attending training sessions for trail running and road biking. How do I get started?
